About the role 

BaptistCare Finance is currently seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the team on a 6 month contract. You will be responsible for providing accounting support for our Home Services business stream. In this role, you will work across complex balance sheet reconciliations and journals to help meet the financial accounting needs of BaptistCare at Home.  


About you 

The successful candidate will have: 

  • Formal tertiary qualification in Accounting
  • Minimum two years’ workplace experience in a similar environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of accounting functions, including complex reconciliation.
  • Confident and skilled using Excel (e.g. VLookup, Pivot Table and etc.)
  • Be a quick learner, team player and have a “CAN DO” attitude.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles of a customer focused service supported by the ability to respond to queries in a friendly and professional manner under pressure
