Every day you will feel pride in having made a difference to someone.
About the role
At BaptistCare, we know nutrition is an important part of our resident’s health and wellbeing, and so do you. As a member of our vibrant catering team, you’ll play an important part in the preparation and cooking of fresh nutritious meals, snacks and beverages on site. Aside from knowing each and every meal you put forward gives vital sustenance, you also understand the important part that food and refreshments play in creating a sense of contentment. Efficient and flexible, you’re across everything from food prep to service delivery, and kitchen cleanliness. Appreciating the different dietary needs at the table, you adjust and apply your kitchen skills accordingly with a focus on nutrition, taste and presentation.
At BaptistCare, we empower our staff by offering flexible working hours, a supportive team, training opportunities and financial benefits including salary packaging and stability working for an industry-leading provider.
You can know you’re contributing to a purpose bigger than yourself.
You can help some of Australia’s most marginalised communities.
You can bring your unique set of skills and experiences to make a difference.
The role requires a mature minded person who is passionate about food and the positive experience it contributes to aged residential living. To be successful in the role, you would have great time management skills and knowledge of HACCP. Prior experience in aged care is an advantage but not essential. You are flexible with your working roster and are able to work weekends.
We love what we do and the communities we help. With us you can deliver life transforming care, create a career you’ll love, and join a team who make a difference.
We’re a not-for-profit organisation that connects with families, communities and thousands of individuals. You may know us for our aged care services -- we also give back to the community through domestic violence initiatives, affordable housing, and offering no-interest loans to the disadvantaged.
