About The Role

Our Community Services division is seeking 2 Domestic & Family Violence Case Workers to join our team in Canberra Community Centre on a full time basis with part time candidates considered.  This position will provide support and casework for women and children recovering and rebuilding their lives after Domestic and Family Violence.

What We Are Looking For

The successful applicant will have:

  • Relevant qualifications in community work, social work or other relevant fields
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated but also work collaboratively as part of a wider team
  • High level of negotiation skills and ability to liaise with key stakeholders
  • Extensive experience in working in case work or counselling role with women, children and young people who have experienced Domestic and Family Violence.
  • Demonstrated case work and group work.
  • Willingness to work within Baptistcare’s philosophy and practice in working with Domestic and Family Violence
  • Advanced skills in risk assessment and case work in Domestic and Family violence.
