BaptistCare HopeStreet – Inner City is currently seeking a full time Senior Case Worker to join our team in Woolloomooloo. This role is to provide clinical case management and a range of community support activities within a trauma informed care framework.  To ensure community access to HopeStreet by

  • Fostering opportunities for positive life changes and harm minimisation
  • Working alongside the Community Development Team Leader to build transforming relationships with individuals, youth and families.

You will be ensuring service users are treated with respect, equality and dignity and to assist in caring for clients in a professional manner appropriately and free of any bias. This rile will be mentoring of other Case Workers in the team as well as providing input into the strategic direction of the Community Development team at HopeStreet Woolloomooloo. This role will work with Community Development team to ensure all programs are delivered within the principles and practices of Trauma Informed Care, Strengths based and Community Development frameworks.

About you

The successful applicant will possess the relevant bachelor qualifications in the area of social science, psychology, community welfare or health or equivalent demonstrated experience.

You have a minimum of five years’ experience in casework and case management using strengths based approach, client centred and creative techniques. You have experience working with people from marginalised backgrounds and the ability to work with identified target groups with respect, dignity and equality. You will be willing to undergo a police check and have a valid WWCC. You hold a current driver’s license.
