About the role

BaptistCare Community Services Counselling & Family Services is currently seeking a part time Senior Counsellor/Clinical Supervisor to join our team in Penrith to provide counselling services to individuals, couples and families and clinical/pastoral supervision in accordance with policies as outlined by BaptistCare and governing counselling and supervision membership bodies.

What you will need to succeed:


The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant human services (e.g. Psychology, Counselling) or equivalent demonstrated experience
  • Qualifications or demonstrated experience in Relationship Counselling and /or Family Counselling
  • Qualifications or demonstrated experience in Clinical/Pastoral Supervision
  • Demonstrated experience in counselling and group work
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in working with children and families
  • Experience in working individually and in group settings with those experiencing Domestic Violence and Complex Trauma.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, organisational and time management skills
  • Experience in the use of information technology and client management systems for communication, evaluation, data collection and compliance
  • Clinical Membership of relevant professional body (e.g. CCAA, PACFA, ACA)
  • An ability and willingness to promote the Christian ethos, purpose and values of BaptistCare


The successful candidate is desired to have:

  • Accreditation as a Clinical Supervisor
  • Experience in providing counselling in an agency setting


You will also need to:

  • Current driver’s license
  • Willing to undergo a Police Check and have a Working with Children Check
