About The Role

BaptistCare Warilla North Community Centre is seeking a Casual Supported Playgroup Assistant to join our team. Your duties will include but may not be limited to the preparation of room activities for children and their families that are safe and developmentally appropriate. Role modelling appropriate interactions with children. Developing the parents/caregivers’ skills and confidence. Support families in implementing and participating in developmentally appropriate play and assisting parents in accessing parenting information, other family support services and agencies within their community.

What We Are Looking For

The successful applicant will possess the following:-

  • Certificate 4 in Community Services
    • Experience in observing and assessing children’s developmental needs
    • Knowledge of  Child Protection legislation
    • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to role model
    • Ability to implement Privacy laws, Child Protection, Duty of Care and all legislation relevant to role
