Food support at HopeStreet Grafton includes emergency relief food packs for individuals and families who lack the basic items to make a meal.

We also offer a small low-cost grocery shop, including everything from fresh bread, to cereal, fruit and vegetables and cleaning products. These grocery items are generously donated through local food partners including SecondBite and Foodbank.

The Community Centre plays an integral role in the community as safe and welcoming place for people who may be experiencing poverty, loneliness or need some support.

Responding with compassion and care, our volunteers offer people a friendly chat, referrals to local support services, and a place to find friends and connection

Giving individuals and families access to safe and affordable loans

Our No Interest Loans are absolutely free of interest, fees, charges or penalties. They’re about giving individuals and families access to safe and affordable loans for everyday items such as white goods, car repairs, school uniforms, computers and medical bills.

People with poor credit history, or a string of bad debt and no spare cash, really struggle to find the funds for these every day or emergency costs, which can lead to substantial hardship. This basic financial support means that individuals and families are able to look towards their future, with a loan that empowers them, rather than adding to the cycle of debt.

Food affordability is a significant issue experienced by families and individuals who are struggling to make ends meet.

Access to low-cost and nutritious groceries means that people can stock their cupboards, and redirect much needed funds to other living costs such as household bills. HopeStreet’s low cost groceries are sourced from our local food partners, and include everything from fresh bread, to cereal, fruit and vegetables and cleaning products. At HopeStreet, we believe that everyone has the right to access food that is affordable and nutritious.
