Newest Information
- Cottage 6: There are currently 3 positive residents in Cottage 6.
- Cottage 6: All consenting residents were given a PCR today, Thursday, 29 September. We are awaiting results.
- Cottage 7: An additional resident has returned a positive test result.
- Cottage 7: There are currently 2 positive residents in Cottage 7.
Visitation Information During a COVID Exposure or Outbreak
- Cottages 6 and 7 are currently an outbreak site.
- Cottages 6 and 7: Residents can have one visitor per day. Visitors will need to wear additional PPE.
- There are no changes to visiting arrangements to the rest of the home, as detailed below.
General Visitation Information
- Each resident can have daily visits from two adult visitors aged over 12 years and two children under 12 years of age regardless of vaccination status.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult.
- All visitors are advised to wear PPE when visiting the home as a condition of entry.
- Visitors may be asked to take a RAT before entering the home.
- Visits should take place in the resident's room, not in communal spaces.
- Please book your visit by contacting the home directly.
For visitors UNDER 12 years of age:
- Children between 3-12 years of age must wear a face mask while visiting in the home.
- Children under 3 years of age are exempt from wearing a mask as it is considered a choking hazard.
- BaptistCare does not have appropriately sized masks for young children. Please provide an appropriately sized face mask for your child to wear while they are onsite.
- Please provide evidence of a negative RAT result for each visitor under 12 years of age completed at home, immediately prior to the visit.
For visitors OVER 12 years of age:
- Visitors are strongly encouraged to get a booster vaccine if they are eligible for one and to have a negative Rapid Antigen Testing (RAT) prior to each visit.
- BaptistCare will continue to provide face masks for all visitors over the age of 12 years.
Resident Excursions
- Residents can be taken out of the home for excursions, although we would ask that you consider the risks involved. We are strongly recommending residents stay in the home given the high case numbers in the community. Excursions from the home should only be to low-risk settings, preferably outdoors, and with good social distancing, hand hygiene and mask-wearing where possible.
