Volunteer Pastoral Care Visitors

Servicing: Key Services Areas Throughout NSW & ACT

Do you have a HEART for

pastoral care? volunteering? seniors and your community?

We’re inviting people who are active in their local church to become BaptistCare Pastoral Care Volunteers, receive free training, and use the gift of pastoral care to connect with their local community.

The BaptistCare Volunteer Pastoral Care Visitors Program will equip you with the skills to provide pastoral care and support to seniors and your church congregation.

We understand that churches want to reach into their local communities, and people like you want to use your gifts of listening and encouraging others as you share the practical love of Christ.

So how does it work?

Volunteers complete a free 8 week engaging and practical pastoral care course.

You are then matched with BaptistCare clients, where you’ll spend a few hours a week visiting clients, using your new pastoral care skills to provide emotional and spiritual support to seniors living in their own homes.

Your new skills can also be used in your church and local community, to provide pastoral support your congregation and people you come in contact with.

If you have a heart for pastoral care, we’d love you to be in contact.

In May 2017, the program will delivered in Gymea and Baulkham Hills area. Early June this program will be offered in Newcastle area.
