Warena Chaplaincy

About Our Community

Blessed with panoramic bushland views surrounding the Georges River, with the Sydney skyline on the horizon, residents of Warena Centre live among the beauty of the Sutherland Shire every day. A premier care centre in Bangor, southwest Sydney, Warena has benefited from $20 million of investment over the past five years. Our residents enjoy upgraded care technology, a new chapel and function room, stunning landscaped gardens and grand, comfortable sitting rooms where they can take in the natural vistas. To feel truly pampered and relaxed, we invite our guests to try our spa and aromatherapy room, complete with special soothing oils and luxury towels. Your time is yours to enjoy – and your home should make you feel that way, every day.

Coming equipped with a range of specialist equipment, residents are well supported with pain management as well as a range of rehabilitation needs.

Individual Rooms

In our single rooms, you have greater flexibility to transform the space and make it your own. They are ideal for residents who are still relatively independent with lower care needs, however residents with higher care needs are still easily accommodated. Single rooms do come partially furnished with a bed, wardrobe, drawers, chair and desk. You are welcome to bring some smaller furniture items from home as well as other decorations to transform the space and make it your own sanctuary. You are never far from enjoying time with other residents and friends in our tastefully designed lounge and communal areas. All of our single rooms come with en-suites, some even have a private balcony – feel free to ask when you enquire.

Financials Explained

All non-supported residents who have assets above the current partially supported cut off level will be required to pay either a Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) or a lump sum Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD) or combination of lump sum refundable accommodation deposit (RAD) and the balance of the RAD as an equivalent Daily Payment (DAP). The pricing listed is the maximum pricing for the category of the room and may vary depending on your individual circumstances.

To calculate the equivalent daily payment, the refundable accommodation deposit is multiplied by the current maximum permissible interest rate (MPIR) and divided by 365 days.

For example, a refundable deposit of $550,000 would have an equivalent daily payment of:

i.e. ($550,000 x 5.76%) / 365 = $86.79 per day
