Supported Accomodation

We provide support for women and children escaping domestic violence. All of our accommodation is secure, with the location remaining confidential to protect our clients.

All families supported by BaptistCare have access to individual counselling as well as a range of ongoing supportive, educational, financial and parenting programs that are tailored to their needs.

Your Eligibility

  • Accommodation is available for women and children only (including boys under 16).
  • Accommodation is available through agency referral only.
  • Women must be in paid employment or receiving a Government Benefit.
  • No current substance abuse issues or unmanaged mental health issues.
  • Transitional Housing rent is calculated in accordance with FACS Community Housing rent.
  • Tenant is responsible to pay utilities.
  • A bond is payable.
  • Have to be eligible for FACS Housing.

Referrals are accepted from Refuges or DV support services. If you are not currently on the FACS housing register you will also need to complete an Application for Housing Assistance Form and an Evidence Requirements Information Sheet when submitting your application to be eligible for BaptistCare Transitional Housing.

Domestic & Family Violence

BaptistCare provides a range of support for women, children and men affected by domestic & family violence. In addition to supported accommodation we also offer men's behaviour change programs, counselling and no interest loans.
