Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy tailored for you

When you choose Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy from BaptistCare, you receive compassionate, quality treatment for any existing issues, along with information on prevention strategies to avoid future injury.

Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy may be funded through your Support at Home (SaH) or the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP). 

Eligible services available from BaptistCare include:

Physiotherapy

• General strengthening and endurance training 
• Mobility, balance and gait training 
• Walking aid recommendation

• Pain management

• Rehabilitation for neurological, musculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory conditions

• Individual falls prevention education

Occupational Therapy

• Home safety assessment – making sure your home is safe

• Minor and major home modifications e.g. grab rail installation, external ramp installation

• The recommendation of aids and equipment to assist you in your independence

• Individual falls prevention education

• Cognitive assessment and re-training if you are experiencing memory problems

• Pressure care management

• Wheelchair, seating and scooter assessments 

• Re-training and task modification to improve independence in your daily life e.g. getting out and about, household tasks and leisure
