In May 2020 we celebrated the annual International Nurses (and Aged Care Workers) Day, on the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth.
Our nurses and aged care workers perform an absolutely vital role across all BaptistCare homes, and never has this been more apparent than during the current health crisis.
We are and were so thankful for our nurses and aged care workers who continue to work tirelessly on the frontline every day that we did something extra special and sent each of our workers a gift to let them know how much we value and respect them.
Our aged care workers all received a note from our CEO along with some delicious chocolates to enjoy. We also provided staff at our aged care homes with cupcakes to commemorate this important day.
In the process of thanking our staff, we also blessed many small businesses that were struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic, by purchasing cupcakes locally wherever we could, and working with them to create these special gifts.
