Photos capture a moment in time. Something important or funny or beautiful or picturesque. Whatever the reason for the picture, it means something to the person behind the camera.
That’s why this year, the BaptistCare MarComms team decided to try something new for the printed greeting cards used by our staff and volunteers.
We asked staff to submit their favourite photo, with the six winning photos turned into greeting cards. We didn’t know what to expect. We didn’t know if we would even get six entries! But to our surprise and delight, within one hour of sending out the challenge, staff from all over the business started submitting their photographs.
And the photos submitted have been amazing! Some are quick snaps on phones; some are shot with professional cameras by people with an evident passion for photography. But all of them represent a beautiful moment in time, significant to a staff member or volunteer.
In the end, we had over 70 entries and narrowing the choice down to six was tricky. Netra Chetty, BaptistCare Brand Manager (and professional photographer), said, “We were blown away by the number of people who sent in photos. The images were stunning; it was so hard to pick. So we decided to choose 12 photos, not just six. Thank you to everyone who sent in a photo; we loved them!”
A big thank you to everyone who submitted photos, and a special congratulations to our talented winners: Jenny Blok, Kareena Henderson, Janet Whiting, Tammy Brown, Mery Morales, Anna Barbara, Kathy Lucic, Janet Pattison, Daz Smith, Petrina Greenwood, David Cowdery, and Heather Scott.
