What’s a child’s life worth to you?
Will you support our riders to help our children?
Both questions are front of mind for our BaptistCare HopeStreet Chain Reaction team as they gear up to cycle 1,000 kilometres through the North Island of New Zealand between March 29 and April 5.
With the 2025 Chain Reaction Bike Ride fast approaching, our eight riders and the donations from generous donors have an incredible opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families of BaptistCare HopeStreet.
At HopeStreet, our mission is simple but powerful: to support families through a whole-family approach and create brighter futures for children experiencing disadvantage.
Many children in our communities face significant challenges, including poverty, trauma, food insecurity, and lack of access to essential services.
These obstacles can severely impact their growth, education, and overall well-being, creating a cycle of disadvantage that’s difficult to break.
That’s where BaptistCare HopeStreet steps in, offering a lifeline through a range of dedicated children’s and youth programs.
“Every dollar will go towards helping young people and children in our programs,” says Robyn Evans, Executive General Manager for Community.
“Some of them are as young as two or three, others are in our youth programs, but all are engaged in our services to support them and their families to have more opportunities and access to the care and services that will help them flourish in life.”
Second-time rider, Samantha Hall, said despite the ride being one of the most challenging she’s ever done, she’s happy to do it again in a heartbeat.
“However hard the challenge feels, it’s nothing compared to the struggle of those we fundraise for,” Samantha shares.
“Choosing your challenge is totally different from being in a situation you have no control over. No matter what, it is worth it to help make a difference.”
Together, we can create a cycle of hope and opportunity that empowers children to achieve their full potential.
Your support is the key to helping children break free from the cycle of disadvantage and build a better future. So, will you support our riders to help our children?
