Legendary radio broadcaster Graham Mabury has returned to host the second season of Baptistcare’s Demystifying Aged Care podcast.
Season 2 of Baptistcare’s Demystifying Aged Care podcast sees Graham discussing a range of new topics including living in your own home with support, what it’s like to work in aged care and the issues facing older Australians from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Guests include Murdoch University’s Associate Professor of Nursing, Susan Slatyer, five-star executive chef, Todd Cheavins who is revolutionising Baptistcare’s approach to food, and an Albany grandmother who just might be one of Western Australia’s busiest seniors.
Graham also caught up with President of the Ethnic Communities Council of Western Australia, Suresh Rajan, to discuss some of the unique challenges facing older Australians from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
“I love the fact that listeners can tune in to the podcast whenever and wherever suits them,” said Graham.
“It really is the next generation of broadcasting, and I am delighted to be generating much needed conversations about ageing.”
Baptistcare CEO, Russell Bricknell, said the response to Demystifying Aged Care shows that people want more information about aged care and more discussions about the human experience of ageing.
“Listeners have told us they enjoy hearing first-hand stories of people who are receiving aged care support and experts who can shine a light on some of the key issues facing ageing Australians,” he said.
