We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Ross Low, aged 72, BaptistCare’s former Chief Executive Officer.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, his family and friends at this time – this is truly devastating news for them and we have shared our most sincere condolences with them at this difficult time.
Ross retired last year after 16 years tenure including 10 years as CEO, but had continued to keep links with BaptistCare and the aged care industry – he was truly part of the BaptistCare family and his legacy is one many of us have been touched by.
As a CEO, Ross enhanced the culture throughout the whole organisation – one focused on delivering life-transforming care and expressing the love of Christ in a very humble way. Ross cared deeply about the wellbeing of all of our staff and volunteers.
He oversaw BaptistCare’s community housing strategy and a successful bid in 2017 for a share in $1.1 billion in NSW Government funding to build much-needed social and affordable housing in our community.
Last year, Ross provided exceptional and strong stewardship as BaptistCare worked tirelessly to navigate the incredibly challenging COVID-19 health crisis.
Ross’ generosity and remarkable leadership has left an undeniable stamp on BaptistCare and the for-purpose sector. He will be remembered for who he was, a true servant leader, and for his strong stewardship of our organisation.
Vale Ross Low.
