Construction on the third and final stage of The Gracewood Community, our retirement living offering in Kellyville in Sydney’s west, was completed in June 2020.
This three stage, seven-year long development now has 241 apartments for seniors, with the final stage including 88 apartments. 65% of these stage three apartments had been sold by the end of the financial year.
Stage three includes three buildings, each with an Aboriginal name with a unique meaning; Girralong means ‘star’, Timbarra means ‘grass tree’ and Wollemi means ‘look around you’.
Residents began moving in from 1 July 2020.
“I’m pleased to witness the building of the exciting stage three development. There is already a great sense of community in the existing village, and the additional buildings will add a stronger sense of community and vitality among the residents,” said Mike Furner, General Manager Housing and Retirement Living.
“I’m also thankful to the existing residents who have supported us in so many ways during stages two and three. The Gracewood Community is true to its name - a beautiful community of wonderful people,” he said.
The Gracewood Community offers ‘adaptive living’; the flexibility to meet the needs of our residents both now and in the future, through access to our nearby At Home and Residential care services. You can learn more at thegracewood.org.au
