The Support at Home (SaH) program begins on 1 November. It will replace the Home Care Packages (HCP) Program and Short-Term Restorative Care (STRC) Program. Support at Home is part of the new Aged Care Act, which puts the rights of older people first.
Support at Home (SaH) provides government funding for both ongoing and short term support to help you live in your home for longer.

Support at Home offers three Short Term pathways:
Government subsidies for home care are now calculated on a quarterly basis, rather than on a daily basis.
Support at Home also has 8 new funding classifications for ongoing services and 4 classifications for people transitioning from the Home Care Package program.
A person's classification and budget will be determined based on their needs.
