Suggested Bequest Wording
The following suggested clauses have been prepared to assist you and your client in the preparation or amendment of a Will.
Alternative 1 – A general bequest
Without direction for a bequest to be applied to a specific part of BaptistCare’s activities:
‘I give _____________ ($xx or xx% of my estate/the rest and residue of my estate/other)
to The Trustees for BCS Foundation (ABN 82 889 922 403)
AND I DECLARE that a receipt issued on the authority of the said Trustees shall be sufficient discharge to my Executor in respect of this bequest.’
Alternative 2 – A specific bequest
With direction for a bequest to be applied to a specific part of BaptistCare’s activities:
‘I give _____________ ($xx or xx% of my estate/the rest and residue of my estate/other)
to BaptistCare (ABN 90 000 049 525) to be used for (Description of specific purpose or BaptistCare program)
AND I DECLARE that a receipt issued on the authority of BaptistCare shall be sufficient discharge to my Executor in respect of this bequest.’
