Why BaptistCare?

We are committed to providing person-centred care that encourages independence and quality of life. Our philosophy of care is based on Christian principles that are reflected in all aspects of our purpose, vision, values and services.

Our well-trained staff can support a broad range of care needs to suit each of our residents: from those who are still fairly independent, to the ones with complex needs such as people living with dementia, right through to end of life care. We are here to be that extra support families need in ensuring their loved ones are well cared for and feel safe.

MyTeam® Approach

We believe that residents, families and consistent team members should all be partners in care – we call this the MyTeam® approach.

In practice, this means the same team members provide personal care for the same residents, every day they work. It is care that focuses on connecting with residents, knowing their stories and preferences, and supporting each person to live a meaningful life.

More about MyTeam®

Chaplaincy Care

As a Christian, not-for-profit organisation, BaptistCare is here to respect and care for you. We want to support you in any area you feel necessary – whether that’s physically, emotionally or spiritually. That’s why, as part of our ongoing care, we offer a chaplaincy service to all our clients and residents.

Chaplains are here to support you through life’s challenges and experiences, even if you’re not religious. They’ll spend time getting to know you; listening to what matters to you. Our Chaplains look forward to meeting you.

Dementia Care

We’ve connected experience with theory to deepen our understanding of the challenges people living with dementia face.

From virtual reality and time-travelling with technology, to engaging with music and art, our programs and services help the people we care for feel loved, respected and empowered to live and age well.

Palliative Care

Because palliative care isn’t just about the illness but about supporting residents and their families on the journey, we built our own unique model of care.

The BaptistCare Palliative Care approach is a family centred approach implemented with highly skilled care across three stages that we call the ABCs: Affirm, Balance & Comfort.
