BaptistCare at home is all about creating strong, nurturing communities, where our staff partner with clients and their families to deliver loving and reliable home care.
To celebrate this partnership, our BaptistCare at home teams have recently brought together our wide community of staff, clients, families, and friends for a special collaborative project – a stunning new 2023 calendar for BaptistCare clients.
Featuring an inspiring collection of photographs taken by BaptistCare community home carers, office staff, clients and their family members, the calendar is a first-time production which has now been circulated amongst all our clients with an active Home Care Package (HCP), or Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), and social club clients as a unique Christmas gift from BaptistCare.
As part of the project, BaptistCare at home clients were invited to share a meaningful snapshot of their everyday life, whether it be a picture of a beloved pet, blooming waratahs in the back garden, or a colourful sunset over their local beach.
Each month’s page includes advice and encouragements on how to ‘live well,’ all of them corresponding to BaptistCare’s three Well-Living goals: Be Well, Think Well, and Connect Well. Some of the tips include advice on staying fit and active in older age, the importance of a healthy diet, and information on how to access extra services through our Care Facilitators, such as lawn mowing, household repairs, and help getting to and from regular health appointments.
The opportunity to contribute to the calendar has certainly been well received by staff and clients alike, with the production team finding it a tough job to shortlist just 12 images from the many beautiful submissions that came through! But the project’s popularity bodes well for the coming months and years where we hope that many a BaptistCare calendar will be hung proudly in our clients’ homes, as a practical and caring reminder of our exceptional home care services.
