Our intimate household design and boutique common areas offer a community that feels like family, and professional care that lets you rest easy. With only 16 residents to a cottage, Caloola embraces a new model of home-style aged care dedicated to easing the transition for residents and delivering a caring environment that feels like home.
Catering to all levels of care, Caloola’s 80 rooms prioritise home-style comfort and individuality. Each room is thoughtfully furnished with an adjustable electric low/high bed, built-in-wardrobe, flat screen TV with shelving, single armchair, air conditioning, emergency monitoring systems, and blackout curtains.
The family dining room is perfect for celebrating life’s special moments, while an on-site hair salon offers residents pampering for any occasion. Caloola’s Café provides a community hub for residents, friends and family, and the chapel offers a safe, comfortable space for any residents who desire to connect with their faith.
At Caloola, we know that activities play a huge part in supporting a healthy mind, physical strength, and a sense of belonging in our caring community.
If you like taking it slow, consider a stroll through our peaceful gardens to immerse yourself amongst our native Australian flora. Wagga's iconic Lake Albert is moments down the road, and if you like to stay active, our multipurpose physiotherapy/gym room is the place for you. If you prefer to be pampered, a visit to our hair and beauty salon will do the trick - and for the social butterfly, there is always an activity to join or someone ready for a chat at the Café.
Our family function room is perfect for celebrating life's special moments with your loved ones, and friends and family are always welcome to join and experience our exceptional Dining Meals.
Our Lifestyle Coordinators are dedicated to curating engaging activity calendars which cater to the enjoyment, preferences and abilities of every resident.
Join creative sessions like painting, physical activities like our walking groups, or gardening with other green thumbs. Resident-led activities, such as book clubs and Sunday brunches, happen naturally and often as friendships grow.
At BaptistCare, we recognise the profound impact that food can have on an individual’s health and happiness.
We pride ourselves on our exceptional dining services, going above and beyond to ensure that every resident has a dining experience which celebrates the comfort, happiness, and cultural connections that a well-prepared meal brings.
Care is woven into the entire process, from menu design to plate presentation. We adhere to the highest food safety standards and our dietitians are dedicated to designing menus that are not only nutritionally sound but also cater to the diverse preferences and backgrounds of our residents.
Our chefs build meaningful relationships with residents, fostering an open and trust-based environment for regular feedback. This ensures that each meal is not just a dish on a menu but a part of a positive, fulfilling dining experience.
Residents are encouraged to actively participate in the menu creation process, offering their insights and suggestions at monthly meetings. This collaboration allows us to find the heart of what our residents enjoy and make sure that our menus consistently exceed their expectations.
Rest assured – we are here to provide the care you need, whenever you might need it.
You’ll have access to a range of health professionals onsite, including registered nurses on duty 24/7. Your dedicated Care Team Manager will meet with you and your family to plan how we can best support your choices, preferences and needs.
Our exceptional staff provide dedicated support to a well-loved community of vibrant individuals, including heartfelt palliative care and specialised support for those living with dementia.
Putting people first means listening, and learning what matters to our residents. For many, this is having the same familiar faces provide personal care each day.
Our “MyTeam®” approach brings together residents, their families, and care workers in a partnership that ensures each person receives care from the same group of team members, every day that they are at work. It is this continuity of care that enables deeper connections, a better understanding of residents’ needs and preferences, and support for a meaningful life.
We understand that transitioning into aged care homes can be a difficult time for everyone involved. Our team of specialists are here to help answer your questions and guide you through the journey.
Let us help you understand the fees and charges for Aged Care Homes. Put simply, the government subsidises the bulk of aged care in Australia but if you are able to afford the cost of care and accommodation, you will be asked to contribute to the cost.
