BaptistCare is pleased to announce that we have entered into an agreement to acquire Keyton’s portfolio of retirement villages in Western Australia, marking an important milestone in our continued growth as a national care organisation.
This acquisition reflects a strong alignment in mission and values between BaptistCare and Keyton. Both organisations share a deep commitment to people-centred care, community connection and high-quality support for older Australians. With BaptistCare’s existing footprint across Western Australia, this agreement represents a natural extension of our presence and purpose in the region.
The agreement comprises 10 retirement villages across Western Australia – eight located in metropolitan Perth, one in Mandurah and one in Bunbury. Combined, these villages include 1,639 homes made up of 1,568 independent living units (ILUs) and 71 independent living apartments (ILAs).
More than 2,080 residents call these communities home, supported by over 50 dedicated staff. All Keyton employees across the 10 villages will be offered employment with BaptistCare, ensuring continuity, security and a smooth transition.
Keyton has been a trusted provider of retirement living in WA for many years. BaptistCare is honoured to build on this strong foundation and continue the work of supporting residents, families and employees. BaptistCare brings the strength and stability of a large, well-established organisation, while preserving the local character, culture and community that residents value. Our focus is on continuity of care, consistent communication and long-term investment in people, village life and customer experience.

BaptistCare will assume full operational control of the villages in the coming months. During this time, we will work closely with village teams to ensure the transition is smooth and respectful for residents, clients and employees.
Across Western Australia, this acquisition complements BaptistCare’s existing 10 retirement villages, 12 residential aged care homes and three Home Care hubs. Nationally, it will increase BaptistCare’s retirement living presence from 35 to 45 villages and expand the number of ILUs from 2,100 to 3,739. With this growth, the number of retirement living residents supported by BaptistCare will increase from approximately 2,700 to over 4,700 people nationwide.
