Today, BaptistCare and Bridging the Gap (BTG) West are pleased to announce they have entered into a Management Services Agreement for BaptistCare to assume responsibility for the management of BTG’s operations and services into the future.
The partnership brings together two Christian-based organisations with a shared commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals and families, particularly those facing disadvantage, homelessness, addiction, and social isolation.
BTG, which has operated in Western Sydney since 1984, delivers community-based programs focused on youth and family.
Andrew McLachlan, Chief Executive Officer of BTG said this agreement will provide stability and growth opportunities for the work the BTG does.
“Bridging the Gap’s focus is on continuing to support the Western Sydney community now and into the future.”
“By entering into this agreement we have found a partner in BaptistCare who shared our focus, our commitment to Western Sydney and the want to support our team to continue their work day in and day out.”
With a strong existing presence in Western Sydney through the BaptistCare HopeStreet teams, the BTG services complement BaptistCare’s existing services.
“We have been privileged to support Western Sydney alongside Bridging the Gap for many years as both organisation shared the same values and commitment to empowering individuals and strengthening communities,” said Charles Moore, Chief Executive Officer of BaptistCare.
“I’m looking forward to continuing that partnership through this agreement and seeing our teams thrive together as they continue their vital work supporting the community.”
BaptistCare, which has been supporting people and communities for more than 80 years, operates services across NSW, ACT, WA, Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia. The organisation already runs HopeStreet services in Western Sydney, including an established location at St Marys.
Under the agreement, all BTG services will remain the same and clients will continue to receive the care and support they are currently accessing from the team members they have built connections with.
