Camp Yurrebilla – an opportunity to connect with others and build strength and resilience

Earlier this year, 45 young people between the ages of five and 17 came together for adventure, friendship and lifelong memories at Wirraway Homestead. 

Camp Yurrebilla gives young people in our out-of-home residential care a chance to discover their strengths, build resilience and connect with others who understand their journey. 

The annual camp was officially opened by Drew Kilner, a Kaura Ngarrindjeri man, with a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony, setting the tone for an unforgettable few days filled with horse riding, water activities, sheep herding and wilderness exploration. 

This milestone year marked our fourth annual camp, our third partnership with Aboriginal Family Support Services and our first collaboration with Junction Australia.
